Intel on Wednesday demonstrated advancements of its sophisticated packaging technologies such as EMIB (embedded multi-die interconnect bridge) and Foveros and showed off its upcoming Meteor Lake processor with on-package LPDDR5X memory. It looks like Intel has taken a page from Apple's book as the company has been installing LPDDR memory on its M1 and M2 packages for a while now.

SK Hynix said Monday that it finished the development of its first HBM3E memory modules and is now providing samples to its customers. The new memory stacks feature a data transfer rate of 9 GT/s, which exceeds the company's HBM3 stacks by a whopping 40%.

According to a report by Phoronix, a new Zen 1 vulnerability was found that can release potentially sensitive data if the CPU divides an integer calculation by the number 0 in Linux operating systems.

Intel's Alder Lake-N family of processors aimed at entry-level PCs has its own hierarchy and includes multiple options, including the flagship eight-core Core i3-N305, mid-range quad-core N97, and low-end dual-core N50. The latter belongs to a segment that represents little interest to performance-minded users, which is why such chips never get reviewed
